Anyway. here's half japanese. Let me know what I should change, this is just
what I came up with in a few hours:

Pysical Appearance:
She is short, about 4'10" but insists that she is 5' tall. (it's not wise to
argue with her). She is very muscular from years of martial arts and other
forms of combat training. Most people do not notice her eyes (or else they
chose not to comment), but one is dark brown, one blue. Her race is unknown,
but she could easily be mistaken for Oriental.
 
Personality:
half japanese strongly believs in the importance of discipline. She believes
in respecting and obeying faithfully those who outrank her (which includes all
Captains who were promoted before her) and expects the same from her crew and
other officers of Starfleet. She believes in using whatever means are
necessary to discipline any who are out of line (she loves making people do
push-ups). Most of her excitement at being made Captain was not because of the
added influence her position gave her, but because she did not expect to
attain such a rank in her life time, especially not at her age (even though she
does not know what her age is, she is young for a Starfleet Captain). half
japanese was a notorious flirter, but has mellowed out since she became
Captain (although she has been known to check out her crew for nice
postieriors).
 
Background:
Very little is known about hj's early life. She spent most of her childhood in
slave camps, no one knows when she was first in the Qwav camps--if she was
captured and sold there or if she was born there. When she was somewhere
between the ages of six and eight, she was taught how to fight and was thrown
into the fighting arena with children her own age, and always won. Fearing she
might get too strong, the Qwarzat (Master of the Slaves) ordered her slain. hj
was placed in the arena with an armed executioner, and would have been killed
if a Xazk (a dragon-like bird) hadn't swooped down and pulled the scared-
shitless child from the arena. The bird set her down on a hill far from the camp
where she was discovered by a monk who took her to a monastary and taught her
the ways of the Tao and Zen Buddhism. When she was found, she attempted to
speak to the monk half in a language he did not recognize and half in
Japanese, which is how she got the name "half japanese". hj became very skilled
in the arts, especially Sado (Tea Ceremony), and became proficient in
many styles of martial arts, favoring Kendo (the Way of the Sword), Kyudo (the
Way of the Bow) and TaiJiQuan. She stayed at the Monestary a few years, before
it was invaded by Qwav soldiers and she fled to avoid recapture. She wandered
into a large city, where she saw something she had never seen before--a
shuttlecraft! Curiosity got the best of her and she wandered in, and hid when
the crew came in and was not discovered till they were almost to their ship.
Aboard the shuttlecraft was a Klingon Ambassador who was leaving the planet
out of disgust (negotiations weren't going well...have you ever tried to
negotiate with a Klingon?), who was impressed with the young girl's fighting
ability (she killed one of his officers who was trying to catch her and had
wounded another) and didn't have the heart to see a child killed (very
sentimental old Klingon). half japanese spent a few years with the Klingon
Ambassador, who convinced Starfleet to admit her into the Academy. None of the
above story is known accept by the Klingon Ambassador. The fact that she spent
any time with Klingon's is also largely unknown, but she may be recognized by
Klingons.
 
Weapons:
Prefers her Katana over any kind of weapon. Has good aim with a phaser and
even better with a bow, although she rarely uses one. She is skilled in hand
to hand combat, (martial arts and Klingon style fighting) and when that fails
(rarely) she resorts to her secret weapon--tickling.
 
Languages:
When discovered she was speaking in Japanese and another language that is not
on record on any Starfleet computer, the origin is unknown. It is also not
known how she learned these two languages, as slaves were not permitted to
speak. She understands Qwav, and may or may not be able to speak it--her
reaction would be either very hostile or very scared if she heard it.
hj has a gift with languages--she speaking Klingon fluently within 2 weeks, but
understood the language immediately. She has been known to communicate with
people (and animals in future episodes) even if she has never heard the
language before. Councellor Tracy, in their sessions together has suggested
that her "gift" with languages may be more telepathy than linguistic ability.
half japanese can only read and write standard, which she learned in the
Academy. Her reading ability is poor at best (which she has been able to
disguise).
