ALL-NEW MAXI-SERIES



In the year 2365, an all-poweful being known as "Q" introduced Captain
  Jean-Luc Picard to the terror that would follow him through history.

[TNG: "Q Who?" stock footage:                                             ]
[  -- Q snaps his fingers, whirling the _Enterprise_ across the galaxy.   ]
[  -- Picard watches as the Borg carve a piece out of the _Enterprise_    ]
[       hull, killing a dozen or more crew members.                       ]

In 2366, the Borg assaulted Earth and made Picard their Speaker.

[  -- Picard:  "I am Locutus of Borg."                                    ]
[  -- The _Saratoga_ and other vessels are ripped apart at Wolf 359.      ]
[  -- Picard:  "Your resistance is hopeless, Number One."                 ]
[  -- The _Enterprise_ glides through the graveyard at Wolf 359.          ]

Soon after, a mysterious woman from Picard's past carried out her vendetta,
  dragging Picard and the _Enterprise_ into the fray.

[  -- 'The image of Delcara's ship cutting through space was immediately  ]
[      replaced by another, even more ominous, sight -- a single Borg     ]
[      ship slicing through the ether.'                                   ]
[  -- 'The three Borg ships, an awesome and terrifying sight in and of    ]
[      themselves, had opened fire on the planet-killer.  They were not   ]
[      using half-measures.  Instead all three were letting fly with      ]
[      everything they had.'                                              ]

But in 2368, the _Enterprise_ discovered a different breed of Borg.

Something about the Borg had changed...

Time passed...

[  -- Captain Worf cradles his infant grandson, showing him off to        ]
[       Picard and others.                                                ]

Things changed...

[  -- Avenger in a Star Fleet cadet's uniform looks up, bleary-eyed from  ]
[       his studies as his roommate, John Heins, returns from baseball    ]
[       practice.                                                         ]
[  -- A Star Fleet landing party makes first contact with a group of      ]
[       Xavionites.                                                       ]
[  -- Kabeta breaks into laughter at a joke just told to her by a young   ]
[       black man.  Both wear Star Fleet cadet uniforms.                  ]

The Borg were quiet.  For a time...

[  -- Ensign Kabeta meekly follows Captain O'Brien into the astrophysics  ]
[       lab that Lt. Avenger is "working" in.  (From ST:TCG "The View     ]
[       Goes on for Miles and Miles")                                     ]
[  -- Avenger stands, simultaneously proud and embarrassed, as an         ]
[       admiral adds the Captain's pin to his uniform.                    ]
[  -- Lt. Chris Crouton polishes the final draft of a paper that will     ]
[       revolutionize Federation technology by introducing the            ]
[       sub-lepton particle known as the "Crouton."                       ]

But in the year 2416, we discovered just how fearful their symmetry could be.

[  -- Lt. Kabeta cringes as the _Niels Bohr_ shudders around her.         ]

The Borg were weakened...but not forgotten.  Ten years after the Dilemma, we
  were reminded as the Lucky Charms joined the Borg to silence the Croutons.
